Joint mobilization/manipulation, soft tissue work, neuromuscular reeducation, and manual stretching is used in conjunction with therapeutic exercises. Monthly progress notes are taken to track, adjust, and update goals.

AMB PT IS A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO TREATMENT.
A major part of that is by ensuring you understand the entire treatment process.
DURING EVERY STEP OF THE WAY, EDUCATION IS A PRIORITY.

PRIORITIZE YOUR RECOVERY
Recovering from an injury or hospital stay should be a priority - yet it’s still common for people to be hesitant to start physical therapy.
AMB PT understands it is a major decision to start PT and having direct access to an expert throughout your recovery process is vital. One-on-one care at AMB PT will help you achieve the best possible outcome.
If you are in the early stages following a surgical procedure, AMB PT can still review your medical history and advise the best time to begin PT sessions.
5 REASONS TO START PT SOONER RATHER THAN LATER
-
Early access to physical therapy can achieve pain reduction and function improvement. By working through scar tissue, fostering early mobilization, and focusing on mindful movement, you can get back to your previous self faster.
-
Often, if you delay physical therapy, it may result in severe mobility restrictions and increased compensations. This will increase the overall timeline to achieve your specific goals - start PT now to start noticing a difference.
-
Though it may seem like an expense you can avoid, the resources and tools that your therapist can offer you are well worth the investment. By working with a PT, you could lower your overall medical costs (injections, imaging, medications, surgical procedures).
-
Manual therapy and therapeutic exercises can restore muscle and joint function while reducing pain. Physical therapy can reduce or eliminate the use of opioids for pain relief.
-
Physical therapy allows for the development of proper form and function, which reduces the risk of future injuries. This is achieved with strength training, balance and flexibility improvements.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
Concierge physical therapy will always be one-on-one treatment from a licensed doctor of physical therapy that occurs in the privacy of your home. You will have the ability to talk directly to your therapist to discuss scheduling or your specific treatment plan. Outpatient physical therapy occurs in a clinic that might double or triple book you with other patients. While the cost may be less, you will sacrifice flexibility and individual care.
-
Every session (evaluation or treatment) will require a space with room to perform exercises and manual therapy. We may sit and talk prior to beginning any work, but majority of the time will be spent performing hands on treatment/exercise. Any access to fitness equipment or gym is helpful, but completely unnecessary.
-
A virtual (or telehealth) session occurs over a HIPAA compliant network. You will need an area large enough to move around, a strong internet connection, and a clear view for the camera. While I will not be physically present, we will still continue with a normal session which includes, answering any questions you may have, progression and execution of therapeutic exercises, instruction on self mobilization techniques, and discussion of your treatment plan.
